Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components and structures with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality products and custom fabrications, ensuring adherence to safety standards and engineering specifications. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Use MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join metal components accurately.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and forming sheet metal and other materials.
- Measure dimensions precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Fabricate components for ductwork, piping systems, structural frameworks, or custom assemblies following ASME codes & standards.
- Perform rigging, pipe threading, assembly, and mechanical tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean workspace by organizing materials and tools efficiently while complying with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background involving metal fabrication and welding.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and welding techniques.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, machining equipment, and rigging operations.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
- Basic math skills including measurements with calipers and micrometers; ability to perform calculations for fabrication tolerances.
- Mechanical knowledge of ductwork installation, pipe threading, soldering, assembly processes, and schematics interpretation.
- Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments involving sheet metal work or structural fabrication is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus. Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
