Every day, ANDRITZ delivers innovative engineering solutions that help shape the industries driving the future. We are looking for a Manufacturing Estimator to join our team and support accurate project costing, competitive bidding, and successful project execution.

This role is responsible for developing cost estimates for fabrication and construction projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, labor, materials, and subcontractor requirements. The ideal candidate will have estimating experience in a sheet metal or steel manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of project costing and bid preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate fabrication and construction estimates by reviewing plans, drawings, and specifications
Perform quantity take-offs using manual methods or computerized estimating tools
Identify labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs for each project
Work with purchasing to obtain vendor pricing and subcontractor bids
Review bid documents and determine scope requirements for each project
Evaluate pricing changes, additions, and site-specific requirements
Support proposal development and project scheduling
Maintain and update cost keys, pricing databases, and estimating records
Resolve cost discrepancies and prepare reports related to estimating and project costs
Coordinate with internal teams, field operations, vendors, and customers throughout the proposal process
Attend project meetings and maintain strong project documentation
Promote a quality-first work environment and support the #1ANDRITZway values

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
2+ years of estimating experience
Experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or steel manufacturing
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work professionally with vendors, customers, subcontractors, and internal teams
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Real ID or valid U.S. Passport for travel
Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in Business Management or related field
