Team Lead Job Description
Position Overview
The Weaver Team Lead is a working leader who actively participates on the production floor while providing leadership, support, training, and accountability to their team. This role requires hands-on involvement in daily operations, a commitment to continuous learning, and a willingness to develop expertise in all aspects of sheet metal fabrication.
The Team Lead leads by example, promotes a safe and productive work environment, and ensures quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery of work. Team Leads are expected to balance leadership responsibilities with personal production responsibilities and contribute Weaver’s output when their team is operating effectively and does not require direct assistance.

- Work alongside team members in assigned production areas.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Lead by example through professionalism, positive attitude, accountability, and strong work ethic.

- Maintain productivity in their area of expertise while ensuring team needs are met.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Production Responsibilities
The Team Lead is expected to remain actively engaged in production within their primary area of expertise. When direct reports are properly supported and production needs within the team are being met, the Team Lead will contribute to departmental output by performing skilled production work.
Expectations
- Maintain proficiency and productivity in their primary manufacturing discipline.
- Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on production activities.
- Prioritize supporting team members, removing obstacles, and addressing production issues before focusing on personal production goals.
- Contribute to Weaver’s production throughput when team members do not require direct assistance.
- Lead by example through quality workmanship, efficiency, safety, and adherence to company standards.
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge across all sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to transition between leadership duties and production work as business demands require.
Performance will be measured based on both leadership effectiveness and contribution to production performance within their area of expertise.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
