CCS Construction Staffing is seeking an experienced HVAC / Sheet Metal Shop Worker for a fabrication shop in Stafford, TX. This position focuses on the fabrication and assembly of HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components in a shop environment. This is not a field installation or service position.
Position Overview:
The HVAC / Sheet Metal Shop Worker will be responsible for assembling ductwork, fittings, transitions, elbows, and other HVAC components while maintaining production and quality standards. Candidates must have prior experience working in a sheet metal fabrication or HVAC shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components in a fabrication shop
- Build duct sections, fittings, transitions, elbows, and related products
- Read and follow shop drawings, measurements, and production instructions
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment safely
- Assist with material handling and staging of shop materials
- Maintain production schedules and quality standards
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Requirements:
- Previous sheet metal shop or HVAC fabrication shop experience required
- Experience assembling ductwork, fittings, transitions, and elbows
- Experience working with sheet metal and HVAC duct systems
- Ability to read measurements and follow shop instructions accurately
- Familiarity with fabrication shop tools and equipment
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to lift and move sheet metal materials as needed
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
PPE Requirements:
- Safety Glasses
- Gloves suitable for sheet metal handling
- High-Visibility Vest or Shirt (if required)
- Work Boots
- Hearing Protection (if required)
- Long Pants and appropriate work clothing
Ideal Candidate:
An experienced Sheet Metal Shop Worker with hands-on fabrication experience who can immediately contribute to ductwork production and HVAC component assembly operations.
