We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated TIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on diverse materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals following detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols accurately to ensure precise fabrication
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Measure components with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit-up and alignment
- Execute MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and specific welding techniques as required by project specifications
- Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting parts before welding or assembly
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and visual checks to verify weld integrity according to ASME codes & standards
- Collaborate with team members on rigging, pipe threading, assembly, machining, soldering, and mechanical tasks to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing floors
- Assist in troubleshooting welding issues or fabrication challenges promptly to minimize delays
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a strong background in structural steel fabrication and assembly
- Demonstrated proficiency in TIG welding across various metals with a focus on precision and quality standards
- Familiarity with MIG welding techniques and FCAW processes for diverse applications
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for measurements and calculations
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and rigging operations
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, machining processes, soldering techniques, and assembly procedures
- Understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding practices in manufacturing or construction environments
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus but not mandatory
