Lead HVAC Installer
All Around Management (AAM) is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our growing Mechanical Division.
This position will focus primarily on residential projects, including ducted heat pump systems, mini-splits, wall-mounted units, air handlers, condensers, and complete HVAC system replacements. While the majority of work is residential, team members will occasionally assist with commercial HVAC projects, equipment replacements, service support, and troubleshooting as needed.
You'll be leading residential installations from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You bring the skill and leadership—we'll provide the work.

Key Responsibilities
- Install ducted heat pump systems, mini-splits, air handlers, condensers, and related HVAC equipment in residential homes.
- Lead and coordinate installation crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Install HVAC systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Mass Save program requirements, and all applicable local and state codes.
- Measure, fabricate, and install ductwork, refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and related HVAC components.
- Perform equipment startup, system charging, testing, commissioning, and final quality control inspections.
- Conduct quality checks and system adjustments to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment during installations, startup issues, warranty work, and service-related calls.
- Assist with light commercial HVAC installations, replacements, repairs, and mechanical projects as needed.
- Identify installation or equipment deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, office staff, and fellow technicians to ensure efficient project execution.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and building representatives while providing exceptional customer service.
- Explain system operation and maintenance requirements to customers upon project completion.
- Complete all required job documentation accurately and promptly.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized job sites.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading or managing installation crews.
- Strong experience with:
- Ductwork installation
- Refrigerant piping and line set installation
- System charging and commissioning
- Residential HVAC system replacements and upgrades
- Heat pump and mini-split installations
- Ability to independently lead residential installations from start to finish.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience diagnosing HVAC system performance issues preferred.
- Commercial HVAC experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Hard-working, dependable, and self-motivated.
- EPA Certification preferred.
