Unite Contracting is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. These industrial electrician jobs require a current or expired TWIC Card. This role involves bending and installing conduit, installing cable trays, and maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in industrial environments to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. We are working 5/10's and paying $32/hour. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial electrical systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects, including renovations, construction-site electrical work, and ongoing facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Install and bend conduit, install cable trays, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on industrial equipment and machinery, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system configurations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose electrical issues efficiently.
- Safely maintain low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems on construction sites or during renovation projects.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, including proper handling of low and high-voltage systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and general contractors to coordinate electrical installations within broader project scopes.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure to identify potential hazards or failures before they impact operations.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system modifications for future reference.
- Support handyman tasks related to electrical repairs or upgrades as needed on various projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and construction site safety protocols.
- Proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low-voltage, and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Prior experience in construction environments or renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and translate them into practical wiring solutions.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes related to industrial settings and adherence to safety practices.
- Handyman experience or frame carpentry skills are considered advantageous but not mandatory.
