About the Role

As a Field HVAC Commissioning Technician, you will serve as the technical expert responsible for bringing complex climate control systems to life. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that new installations meet peak performance standards while providing high-quality service and technical guidance to our clients.

Responsibilities

Execute comprehensive equipment startups and commissioning for commercial rooftop units, chillers, and advanced split systems.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and control-related malfunctions to restore system efficiency.
Optimize system performance by calibrating control sequences, sensors, and operational setpoints.
Validate system integrity through rigorous functional performance testing and detailed documentation.
Empower clients by delivering clear operational training and comprehensive system handoff materials.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve punch list items and ensure successful project completion.
Maintain precise records of service activities, parts usage, and warranty documentation.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, commissioning, or HVAC controls.
Demonstrated proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, refrigerant charging, and diagnostic tool usage.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
Possession of a valid CT S or D license.

Preferred Skills

Direct experience working with VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems.
Strong background in commercial HVAC environments.
Exceptional analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Proven ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse client groups.
