Licensed Electrician – Residential Service / HVAC Wiring
EHC Inc. is an Electrical, Heating, and Cooling company providing residential and light commercial service throughout Greater Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts.
We are looking for an experienced Licensed Electrician who is comfortable with residential service work, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and HVAC-related electrical work. This is a great fit for someone who is tired of the new construction grind and wants more variety, independence, and long-term stability with a growing service company.
This is a hands-on field position. You will be trusted to work independently, communicate with clients and the office, and complete clean, professional, code-compliant work.

- Electrical service calls and troubleshooting
- Panel replacements and service upgrades
- Generators
- EV chargers
- Dedicated circuits
- Lighting, outlets, switches, and repairs
- Small remodels and alteration work
- Knob-and-tube related work
- HVAC wiring and controls
- Mini-split wiring
- Heat pumps, condensers, air handlers, boilers, and thermostats
- Residential and light commercial service support
Responsibilities
- Perform residential electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and installations.
- Install and service panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, EV chargers, generators, dedicated circuits, and related systems.
- Support HVAC installations and service work, including wiring for mini-splits, condensers, air handlers, heat pumps, boilers, thermostats, disconnects, surge protection, and control wiring.
- Diagnose electrical and HVAC-related issues in the field.
- Communicate clearly with customers, office staff, and management regarding job status, findings, recommendations, and next steps.
- Document work with photos, notes, and job updates.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area.
- Work independently while still being part of a team.
Requirements
- Active electrical license required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Several years of residential electrical experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working in occupied homes and communicating with customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls or installation tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and code-compliant workmanship.
Preferred Experience
Additional consideration may be given to candidates with:
- OSHA 10
- EPA certification
- Fire alarm experience
- NICET certification
- Master Electrician license
- Mitsubishi or Fujitsu experience
- HVAC wiring and controls experience
- Generator experience
Company Vehicle
The hired candidate will be provided with their own EHC Inc. pickup truck or van to take into the field.

This is not a new construction position. Most of our work is service, repair, replacement, upgrade, and installation work in residential and light commercial properties.
This is also not a supervisor or foreman position. This is a hands-on field role for someone who can be trusted to work solo and represent the company professionally.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
