At Denron Hall, the Production Supervisor is a trade expert: leading the CAD team into the drawings, breaking out the labor, walking the job weekly, and ensuring foreman are supported for success in the field.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the role for a senior journeyman or foreman who's ready to step into project leadership — keeping the field knowledge sharp while taking on full project ownership.
The Sheet Metal Production Supervisor (PS) is the subject matter expert who owns a project's lifecycle for our trade — from estimating turnover through final O&M handoff.
This is an office-primary role based out of our Manchester, NH with weekly job site visits. You'll work directly with Project Managers, the CAD team, foremen, and the Safety Director — and you'll lead the trade decisions that shape how each project gets built.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Turnover & pre-construction: Take a project from the estimating handoff, analyze drawings, specs, and scope, and own all sheet metal RFIs through to the GC
- Design intent & CAD leadership: Lead the CAD team in drawing the project — directing how the building gets traversed and confirming sizes, models, and details are accurate
- Labor & material breakouts: Lead the project's labor and material breakout — your input is essential in how hours are applied
- Permits & submittals: Pull the sheet metal permit and review every submittal as the trade SME, confirming accuracy against drawings, specs, and field needs
- Projections: Build job hour projections by cost code and monthly manpower projections that feed sales and accounting decisions
- Coordination drawings: Drive coordination — to confirm product fits and is installed in the appropriate order
- Takeoffs: Own takeoff accuracy for the job; partner with foremen to do the work and confirm all aspects are covered
- Safety: Partner with the Safety Director on pre-onsite safety meetings, JHAs, SDS, and ongoing site safety; ensure crews have PPE to work safely
- Weekly job visits: Walk the job once a week minimum (more at peak times); QC the work, check in with the foreman, the crews, and the GC
- Job meetings: Attend weekly job meetings with foreman and PM — give direction on scheduling, scope changes, and trade coordination
- Manpower placement: Each week, forecast projections for the next three weeks and place the right people on the right tasks
- Labor reports & profit forecast: Review weekly Labor Quantity Reports with the foreman; attend monthly Profit Forecast meetings with Owners, COO, Safety, and PM
- Foreman oversight: Support, respond, and develop your foremen — daily logs, safety talks, planning ahead, communicating at all levels
- Super POs & invoice approval: Place urgent orders, approve invoices over $5K with the PM, ensure cost coding is correct
- Closeout: Finalize as-builts, review O&M packages, owner training, coordinate startups
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license; willing to travel to job sites in NH, MA, and ME
- 5+ years of sheet metal field experience — commercial buildings and/or multifamily construction (not service)
- Strong understanding of sheet metal systems: ductwork, fittings, equipment layout, hangers, fire/smoke dampers, code requirements
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and coordination documents
- Strong leadership and team-building skills — you'll be supervising foremen and developing crews
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal — you'll interact with GCs, the Production team, and ownership
- Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and drive work through to completion
PREFERRED
- Foreman or General Foreman experience running sheet metal work in the field
- SMACNA training or other recognized apprenticeship background
- Experience with multifamily podium or healthcare projects — high-coordination project types
- Familiarity with Procore or Bluebeam
- Prefab / spool review experience
- OSHA 10 Certification (we'll provide if needed)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of computer work in the office
- Construction site visits which require standing, walking, climbing
- Ability to access job sites via stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, confined spaces
- Lift up to 25 lbs. as needed during site visits
- Pass a pre-employment physical
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions during site visits
