Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Concrete Finisher to oversee and execute complex concrete finishing projects on construction sites. As a leader in the team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality concrete finishes, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining safety standards. Your expertise in concrete work, blueprint interpretation, and construction techniques will drive the successful completion of projects while mentoring junior team members. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead large-scale construction efforts and contribute to the creation of durable, aesthetically pleasing structures.

Duties

Lead and supervise concrete finishing activities, including pouring, smoothing, and texturing surfaces to meet project specifications.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute concrete forms, rebar placement, and formwork construction.
Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely delivery of materials such as concrete mixers, power tools, and heavy equipment.
Oversee rebar installation, formwork construction, and concrete cutting to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
Conduct quality control inspections on finished surfaces like floors, walls, and decorative hardscape features such as stucco or tile laying.
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to construction workplace safety regulations and properly using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques.
Mentor team members in proper concrete pouring, finishing techniques, and the use of specialized equipment like concrete pumps or scaffolding.

Requirements

Proven experience working on construction projects with a strong background in concrete finishing and related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
Mechanical knowledge of construction tools, heavy equipment operation, and schematics interpretation.
Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for formwork construction and renovation projects.
Skilled in rebar installation, concrete cutting, caulking, plastering, roofing prep, and tile laying as needed for diverse projects.
Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and material procurement.
Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and best practices for heavy lifting and working at heights.
Valid experience with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, metal stud framing, framing carpentry, or restoration work is a plus.
Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude towards teamwork and project management.
