Position Summary

The Carpenter will work alongside our construction team to complete a wide range of renovation, restoration, and new construction tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and appreciates the details that make a project exceptional.

The right candidate will have strong carpentry skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Perform rough and finish carpentry work including framing, trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and custom details
Assist with historic renovation and restoration projects while preserving original character and materials
Complete residential and commercial construction tasks with attention to quality and craftsmanship
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
Communicate clearly with project managers, subcontractors, and team members
Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete work efficiently and professionally

Qualifications

3+ years of carpentry or construction experience preferred
Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and materials
Experience with remodeling of historic properties is a plus
Ability to perform both rough and finish carpentry
Comfortable working independently and managing tasks with limited supervision
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Reliable transportation and ability to work at various project locations
Ability to safely operate common construction tools and equipment, particularly woodworking tools
