BKG Co., Inc located in Telford PA is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Pipefitter to join our dynamic plumbing and installation team. As a Commercial Pipefitter you will you will be responsible for installing, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various commercial projects.
Your expertise will ensure that plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, and pipeline networks are installed safely, accurately, and efficiently in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. You must be able to pass a background check and drug screen along with having a valid driver’s license.
What will you do as our Commercial Pipefitter:
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine pipe layouts and installation procedures.
- Install various piping systems such as plumbing lines, fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, and pipeline networks.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, thread, assemble, and install pipes with precision.
- Perform pipe fitting tasks including fabricating pipe sections, tube bending, pipe threading, soldering, welding, rigging, and assembly on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Perform air, hydrostatic, and leak testing, document results and corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, corrosion, and damaged fittings in existing systems.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols during all phases of installation and fabrication processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections on installed piping systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high-quality standards on every task.
- Complete daily reports, material take-offs, timecards and safety documentation.
Requirements of a Commercial Pipefitter:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Pipefitter or in a similar role within construction or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in pipe welding, soldering, and pipe fabrication techniques.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to piping systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools such as calipers and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with pipe threading machines, tube bending equipment, rigging techniques, and pipe installation methods.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential for precise fabrication work.
- Understanding safety regulations and OSHA safety protocols.
- Ability to work on construction sites with experience in plumbing installation, sprinkler system setup, HVAC piping projects or pipeline work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical schematics accurately under tight deadlines.
- Construction site experience combined with a commitment to safety protocol adherence is essential for success in this role.
