Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings, including lighting, wiring, outlets, panels, and low voltage systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations and repairs
Test electrical circuits with tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality
Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work during new builds or renovations
Maintain compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local electrical codes
Identify opportunities for system improvements or upgrades using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrician experience
Conduct inspections of electrical systems for safety hazards or code violations and document findings thoroughly
Assist with framing carpentry or handyman tasks as needed during project phases
Support low voltage wiring installations for security systems, data networks, or communication devices

Qualifications

Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems
Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial controls
Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in construction or renovation projects
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely
Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments
Knowledge of NEC standards and local electrical codes for compliance assurance
Skilled in framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently
