Job Description
The HVAC Project Manager leads commercial HVAC repair and special projects ranging from small service work to projects up to $4 million. This role is responsible for project planning, execution, safety, scheduling, financial performance, customer satisfaction, subcontractor coordination, and successful project closeout while delivering exceptional customer experience.

- Manage projects from turnover through closeout, including schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability.
- Develop project plans, manpower forecasts, procurement strategies, and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal departments.
- Monitor labor productivity, costs, billing, cash flow, and project forecasts.
- Manage purchasing, equipment releases, subcontractors, and change orders.
- Ensure OSHA compliance, jobsite safety, and company quality standards.
- Maintain customer relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
- Oversee project documentation, contract compliance, reporting, billing, collections support, and final closeout.
- Identify additional service and project opportunities with existing customers.
Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- 5+ years of HVAC service, construction, project management, estimating, or field supervision experience.
- Commercial HVAC systems knowledge including chilled water, DX, boilers, pumps, air handlers, controls, piping, and ductwork.
- Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractors.
- Ability to read plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/ERP software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass required background screening.
- PMP, OSHA 30, or trade-related certifications. (Preferred)
- Experience managing projects up to $4 million. (Preferred)
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Vista, Spectrum, or Service Trade. (Preferred)
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma Required. Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum five years of related experience required.
Physical requirements
- Required to stand, walk and sit.

- Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
- Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Regular travel to jobsites and customer facilities. Ability to work in office and construction environments, climb ladders, inspect equipment.
