NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a safety-focused, skilled Pipe Welder to join our team in Ashland City, TN. In this role, you will perform high-quality welding on piping systems used in the construction and repair of inland barges and marine products. NABRICO Marine Products is a leading manufacturer of inland barges and marine products serving the U.S. inland waterway system. Our products help transport essential commodities including grain, coal, aggregates, petroleum products, fertilizers, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes throughout the nation's waterways.
In addition to manufacturing dry cargo and tank barges, NABRICO Marine Products is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers and produces a complete line of marine deck hardware, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

Perform FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), SMAW (Stick Welding), and/or GMAW (MIG Welding) on carbon steel pipe and related components in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).

Weld piping systems used on tank barges and other marine products while meeting quality and safety standards.

Read and interpret piping drawings, isometric drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.

Prepare pipe and fittings for welding by cleaning, fitting, beveling, and aligning materials.

Verify joint fit-up and perform welds that meet required specifications and acceptance criteria.

Inspect completed welds for quality and conformance to engineering and customer requirements.

Safely operate welding equipment, grinders, torches, and other fabrication tools.

Work closely with Pipe Fitters, supervisors, inspectors, and other production personnel to complete assigned work.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum of one (1) year of pipe welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, shipbuilding, or industrial environment preferred.

Experience welding carbon steel pipe using FCAW and/or SMAW; additional welding processes are a plus.

Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.

Ability to accurately measure and verify fit-up using standard measuring tools.

Strong understanding of welding procedures, joint preparation, and quality requirements.

Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Ability to perform welding duties while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding hoods, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and respirators as required.

Ability to work at heights of 15 feet or more when necessary.

Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work areas.

Ability to work in confined or restricted spaces for extended periods.

Ability to frequently kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, walk, and stand throughout the shift.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and industrial conditions.

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays based on production needs.

Ability to accurately follow work instructions, supervisor direction, blueprints, and established procedures to complete work safely and efficiently.
