Fire Alarm Project Manager

Encore Fire Protection • Full-time • Concord, New Hampshire, United States • $66,050 - $94,519 / year • 3m ago

Who We Are:

At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.

Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

The Opportunity:

Do you bring order to chaos, stay steady when priorities shift, and enjoy getting a plan back on track? Are you the kind of leader who sets expectations clearly, protects quality, and earns buy-in without losing momentum? If you’re the person people turn to for structure, decisions, and follow-through, you’ll do well here.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead service-focused projects from planning through closeout. You’ll coordinate technicians, customers, and internal teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within scope and budget. You’ll also be the point person when conditions in the field change and a fast, practical decision is needed.

Encore believes in hiring for attitude and training for skill, but this role requires a strong foundation. You should bring at least five years of construction-industry experience that gives you a real understanding of how work moves from estimate to execution. Your background could be in the field, operations, design, sales, or leadership, as long as you know how to keep projects moving and people aligned.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll be the hub that keeps service work connected: supporting the field, keeping the customer in the loop, managing priorities, and ensuring the plan still fits the reality on-site. You’ll balance safety, schedule, and cost while removing obstacles so the team can deliver. You’ll do that by:

Serving as the go-to resource for technicians and supervisors, helping troubleshoot issues and recommending practical next steps.
Owning customer communication, setting clear expectations, and resolving project questions quickly and professionally.
Building and maintaining schedules, coordinating resources, and adjusting plans as priorities shift.
Tracking progress against scope and timeline, escalating risks early, and clearing roadblocks that could slow production.
Partnering with internal stakeholders to align labor, materials, and deliverables for service-related work.
Managing material and equipment needs, coordinating orders and deliveries, and helping maintain readiness for upcoming work.
Reviewing scopes, basic drawings, and contract requirements to ensure field execution matches what was sold and expected.
Participating in site walks, job meetings, and inspections as needed to maintain momentum and strong relationships.
Representing Encore with professionalism when interacting with customers, vendors, and other partners.

What You Bring to the Table:

At least five years of experience in construction in a project-focused or field leadership role.
Working knowledge of basic contracts, scope language, and pricing concepts.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and blueprints.
Ability to work at heights and lift at least 50 pounds as needed.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within your assigned area.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with technicians and customers.
Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple moving projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort using standard business tools such as email, spreadsheets, and basic project or scheduling systems.

What Makes You Stand Out

You have experience in fire protection, mechanical, electrical, or a related specialty trade.
You have familiarity with relevant fire protection and life safety requirements in your region.
You have prior experience with project management or scheduling software.
You have industry certifications or training related to construction, project management, or fire protection.

Beyond the Paycheck:

At Encore, we’re all about creating a culture where success is celebrated. We recognize that our work makes people’s lives safer, and we reward those who contribute to our growth. Here’s what you can expect:

Competitive Salary: Compensation commensurate with your experience, with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses tied to your personal effectiveness and contributions to the team.
Purpose-Driven Work Environment: We believe in working smarter, not harder. You’ll be part of a culture that values results, and we empower our team to focus on impactful work.
Flexible Dress Code: Upon joining, you’ll receive branded Encore swag, and we believe in dressing for the objective, not the occasion. Most days, you can enjoy a casual work environment, but we’ll dress up when the situation calls for it.
People-Focused Culture: We know our greatest strength is our people. That’s why we’ve built a culture that encourages experimentation, learning, and improving together. You’ll have the space to share your ideas and help shape a company that is constantly growing.
Tools for Success: Access to leading-edge web-based productivity tools.
Health and Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage to keep you and your family healthy.
Retirement Planning: Participation in our Fidelity 401(k) plan with a company match, helping you save for your future.
Life Insurance: Company-paid life insurance policy of $50,000 to give you peace of mind.
