Overview
Van & Clark Construction is looking to add carpenters to our team. Experience is preferred but not required, on the job training is provided. The ideal candidate will be primarily tasked with framing and siding jobs. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from plans to ensure projects are built to plan.
- Perform various tasks associated with framing, layout, building walls, setting trusses etc. must be able to lift 50+ pounds repetitively.
- Must be able to work from heights above 10 ft+.
- Install various types of siding including vinyl, wood, fiber cement, smart side siding etc.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for precise measurements and cuts.
- Install doors and windows level and plumb.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to project specifications.
Qualifications
- High School Degree or above.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to show up on time ready to work.
- Using hand tools safely and effectively.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
