Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team and drive excellence in maintaining, repairing, and installing commercial refrigeration systems. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration units, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and refrigeration equipment.
- Install new refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, HVAC system blueprints, and building automation system layouts to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform HVAC system repairs, including air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical systems and components.
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and mechanical skills to repair or replace mechanical systems and components.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs needed and maintenance schedules.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC/R or refrigeration systems.
- Service technician experience working with HVAC design, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, building automation systems, electrical systems, and refrigeration technology.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment such as boilers, pumps, compressors, valves, and ammonia refrigeration units.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively; welding skills are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driver license preferred.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or appliance repair are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward maintenance and problem-solving.
