Job description
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various tasks and possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems including high-voltage wiring, low-voltage control systems, and commercial electrical circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment critical to industrial operations.
- Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or during renovation projects while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Use power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment efficiently to complete electrical work with precision and safety.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems in industrial settings to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read/understand electrical schematics.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Experience working with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage electrical wiring in industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls is highly desirable.
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while following all safety protocols related to high-voltage work.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team.
