Security Field Technician
Introduction
- C2 Technology Group, a Crete United Company, located in Montgomery Alabama is seeking Highly Experienced Electronic Security Technicians .
- This is a full-time position.
- The ability to work overtime is necessary when required.
- Typically, short duration travel is required throughout Alabama and neighboring states, with paid lodging and per-diem.
Compensation
- Compensation rates are based on a combination of knowledge, experience, and ability.
Experience
- A high degree of security and general low-voltage knowledge is necessary.
- The Technician must have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in the security field.
- Verifiable credentials supporting knowledge and experience are necessary.
- Should have at least an ESA sponsored Advanced Intrusion certification or equal.
- Cabling experience with intrusion, access control, and video security is absolutely necessary.
- Work generally consists of installation of various security related cabling, system components, programming, testing, commissioning, customer training, and completion of necessary installation and quality assurance reports.
- This position requires personnel to interact with project managers, AHJs, and engineers.
- Must be experienced performing surveys, planning tasks, and managing a crew of installers.
- Experience and character references are necessary and will be subject to verification.
- Experience with typical industry recognized test equipment, tools, and processes is required.
- Average computer skills are required:
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc...)
- Experience with basic LAN configuration and installation of necessary software and drivers is required.
Safety
- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Pre-hire drug screen, background, and DMV checks will be performed.
- Must be willing to promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Must be able to complete necessary job site safety reports.
- Must be familiar with safe use of various types of portable ladders and elevated work platforms.
Physical
- Must be able to lift and move loads up to 60 pounds.
- Required to bend, stoop, and move in tight and confined spaces.
- Required to work while standing for long periods.
- Required to work in industrial environments in various degrees of heat and cold.
- Must be familiar with safe operation of drills, saws, and various hand tools.
- Must be comfortable working at heights from various types of portable ladders and elevated work platforms.
Communication
- Must possess excellent communications skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be able to read and understand detail plans and schematics.
- Must be able to distinguish industry recognized colors.
