Job Description:
As a Project Manager with Mr. Electric, you will meet with customers who have scheduled appointments, evaluate their electrical service needs, prepare accurate quotes, and recommend solutions that fit their homes and project requirements.
You will play an important role in maximizing sales opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and generating enough sold work to support the productivity of our installation crews.
This position also serves as the connection between the customer and the installation team. You will help ensure each sold project moves smoothly into installation by clearly communicating the project scope, materials, pricing, and customer expectations.
The ideal candidate is a confident and motivated sales professional who enjoys helping customers, following through on opportunities, and contributing to the success of the entire team.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet with customers during scheduled appointments to evaluate their electrical service needs.

Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for electrical services and projects.

Identify opportunities to recommend additional services based on customer needs and project requirements.

Explain available options, pricing, project scope, and recommended solutions clearly.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and consistent follow-up.

Meet or exceed established sales targets, performance metrics, and weekly KPI goals.

Generate sufficient sales volume to maintain installation crew productivity.

Facilitate a seamless handoff from the sales process to the installation team.

Clearly communicate project scope, required materials, pricing, timelines, and customer expectations.

Collaborate with service, installation, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Maintain a thorough understanding of Mr. Electric’s products, services, and pricing.

Track estimates, customer interactions, follow-up activity, and sales results accurately in the CRM system.

Respond to customer questions, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally.

Keep management informed of sales activity and communicate any significant issues.

Maintain a clean, secure, and well-organized work area.
-
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during customer and branch visits.

Operate personal and company vehicles in accordance with company policies and motor vehicle laws.

Represent Mr. Electric with professionalism, quality service, and care.

Perform other duties as needed to support the success of the team.
Preferred Job Requirements for a Project Manager:

Minimum of three years of strong sales experience.

Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Experience in electrical services, home services, construction, or another skilled trade is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build trust and rapport.

Detail-oriented and comfortable working with estimates, pricing, and project information.

General computer knowledge and experience using CRM software.

Comfortable using an iPad, mobile estimating software, or similar technology.

Willingness to work additional or irregular hours when needed to meet customer needs or project deadlines.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Must meet company vehicle-insurability requirements.

Reliable transportation with current automobile insurance.

Willingness to travel to customer locations and branch offices.
Pay:
This role includes a performance-based compensation structure designed to reward strong sales results and successful project handoffs.
Project Managers receive credit toward their sales goals for work sold and transferred to an installation crew or Service Professional. They also receive applicable sales spiffs and may qualify for a monthly bonus equal to 1% of eligible transferred sales when performance goals are met.
