Duties
- Inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, repairing plumbing fixtures and systems, steam operated equipment, heating and water systems, kitchen and laundry equipment, air compressors, medical compressed air systems, vacuum systems, oxygen systems and natural gas distribution systems.
- Making safety and preventive maintenance inspections of utility systems.
- Applying accepted steam fitting and pipefitting trade methods and techniques to solve issues that arise on site.
- Conducting preventive maintenance activities on steam fitting and plumbing equipment throughout a health care facility.
- Interpreting and apply building plans and blueprints.
- Utilizing shop mathematics and lay out such things as angles, arcs, and circles.
- Conducting repairs and installations by use of ladders, scaffolding, and platforms in hard-to-reach places.
- Laying out and installing piping, risers and flexible branches at the proper level and incline.
- Testing systems and equipment for proper circulation, flow, pressure, leak-free joints, and proper drainage.
- Diagnosing plumbing system malfunctions by isolating the problem, checking through the system, and making appropriate repairs or modifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: 8am-4:30pm
Pay: $29.64 - $34.59 per hour
