Job Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Fire Sprinkler Installer to join our skilled team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pipefitting and fire sprinkler fitting, ensuring that systems are installed efficiently and meet all code requirements. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire sprinkler systems.
- Install fire sprinkler piping and components in accordance with NFPA standards and ASME codes.
- Fabricate and modify piping assemblies utilizing hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, calipers, and tube bending tools.
- Perform pipe fitting tasks including assembly, pipe installation, soldering, and pipe threading to ensure proper system function.
- Conduct routine maintenance on installed systems and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and schematic interpretation.
- Follow all safety regulations and safety protocol adherence during installation and maintenance activities on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a fire sprinkler installer or pipefitter with extensive knowledge of sprinkler system installation processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, fabrication, assembly, and plumbing fundamentals.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association) and ASME codes & standards related to piping and sprinkler systems.
- Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments with a focus on safety protocol adherence.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or pipeline installation is a plus but not mandatory.
