Experienced HVAC Technician - Collards Heating & Air | Herrin, IL

$25–$35 per hour | Full-Time

Looking for more than just another HVAC job?

Every company says they have a great culture.
Every company talks about teamwork, leadership, and growth.

We don't.

Not because those things aren't important—but because those words have become buzzwords. We believe those things should be demonstrated, not advertised.

At Collards Heating & Air, we focus on building relationships, creating experiences, and serving others. That applies to our customers just as much as it does our employees.

We're building a company where good people enjoy coming to work, where accountability matters, where hard work is recognized, and where everyone has the opportunity to continue growing personally and professionally.

If you're looking for a place where your attitude matters as much as your technical ability, keep reading.

What You'll Do

Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
Communicate clearly with homeowners and educate them on repair options.
Complete digital paperwork accurately and professionally.
Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle.
Represent the Collards brand with professionalism and integrity.

What We're Looking For

Technical skills can be taught and sharpened.

Attitude is much harder to teach.

We're looking for someone who:

Has a positive, professional attitude.
Takes pride in doing quality work.
Is dependable and accountable.
Treats customers and coworkers with respect.
Wants to improve every year—not just collect a paycheck.
Accepts coaching and gives effort every day.
Wants to be part of building something special.

If you think you already know everything, this probably isn't the place for you.

If you're hungry to learn, willing to work hard, and want opportunities to grow, we'd love to talk.

What We Offer

$25–$35 per hour (based on experience)
Year-round, full-time employment
Paid training and continued development
Advancement opportunities as our company grows
Modern technology and tools
Supportive leadership that invests in its people
A company focused on long-term careers—not short-term jobs
