Process and manage incoming customer orders for the assigned plant and sales territory.

Prepare accurate customer quotes based on provided specifications, measurements, drawings, equipment information, and project requirements.

Review customer requests to identify the products, materials, dimensions, configurations, and other information required to develop an accurate quote.

Work with Regional Sales Representatives, Engineering, Production, and other internal teams to gather information needed for complex or non-standard quotes.

Review drawings, equipment schedules, specifications, and other technical documents to determine quoting requirements.
-
Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information before a quote is released to the customer.
-
Calculate pricing based on CDI products, materials, labor, production requirements, freight, and other applicable costs.

Generate, track, revise, and follow up on sales quotes, proposals, and bids.
-
Convert approved quotes into accurate customer orders while ensuring all quoted specifications and requirements are carried through to order entry.

Maintain accurate records of quotes, revisions, pricing, and customer requirements within CDI's CRM and management systems.
-
Recognize when a quote requires additional engineering review or approval and coordinate with the appropriate CDI team member.

Assist Regional Sales Representatives with pricing, quoting, order entry, customer follow-up, and technical information.

Develop a working knowledge of CDI Custom Curb Adapter products, manufacturing capabilities, materials, and production processes.
-
Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, mechanical drawings, equipment schedules, dimensions, and specifications.
-
Review HVAC equipment information to help determine appropriate curb adapter requirements.
-
Understand basic dimensions, measurements, elevations, openings, transitions, and other information used in curb adapter quoting.
-
Use customer-provided information, field measurements, drawings, and equipment data to support accurate quoting.

Communicate technical requirements clearly to Engineering, Production, Sales, and customers.
-
Assist in identifying potential manufacturing or installation concerns during the quoting process.
-
Escalate complex engineering or design questions to the appropriate Engineering or leadership team member.
-
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when working with dimensions, measurements, specifications, and pricing.

Provide timely, professional, and solution-focused communication to customers.

Follow up on open customer requests and ensure commitments are completed.

Help create a positive customer experience by being responsive, accurate, and easy to work with.

Coordinate with the Plant Production Manager and Logistics Coordinator to ensure production and shipping schedules align with customer commitments.

Communicate changes to customer orders, priorities, and delivery requirements to the appropriate internal teams.
-
Monitor orders through the production and shipping process and proactively identify potential delays.
-
Escalate issues that could impact customer commitments or sales opportunities.
-
Maintain accurate customer records, order history, sales pipeline information, quote history, and other required data within CDI's CRM and management systems.

Prepare product submittals, sales packets, technical documentation, and other materials for customers and prospects.
-
Process and track product sample requests, including coordinating preparation and shipment.
-
Maintain organized and accurate sales and quoting documentation.
-
Assist with revisions to quotes and customer documentation as project requirements change.
-
Assist with weekly and monthly sales reporting for the assigned plant and territory.
-
Compile sales activity, quote activity, order volume, quote-to-order conversion, and other performance metrics as requested.

Support Regional Sales Representatives with information needed for customer meetings, sales planning, and follow-up.
-
Help identify recurring customer or quoting issues and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
Education: College degree or engineering/technical trade school education preferred, but not required. Relevant experience and demonstrated technical skills may be considered in lieu of formal education.

2+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, estimating, quoting, order management, engineering support, drafting, manufacturing, or a related role preferred.
-
Prior experience preparing quotes, estimates, or proposals is strongly preferred.
-
Experience interpreting engineering or mechanical drawings is strongly preferred.
-
Experience with HVAC equipment, sheet metal, curb adapters, construction, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus.
-
Experience using CRM, ERP, quoting, estimating, CAD, or order-entry systems preferred.
-
Experience working with dimensions, measurements, specifications, material requirements, or manufacturing processes is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of quoting and estimating principles.

Ability to accurately interpret customer requirements and technical information.

Ability to read and understand basic engineering, mechanical, HVAC, or fabrication drawings.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to work accurately with dimensions, quantities, pricing, and measurements.
