What You'll Do
As a Collision Repair Technician, you'll perform structural and cosmetic repairs while following manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and develop repair plans using manufacturer specifications.
- Perform structural and frame repairs using industry-approved repair methods.
- Repair or replace damaged body panels, sheet metal, bumpers, fenders, doors, and other components.
- Complete dent removal, panel alignment, metal finishing, and body filler work.
- Perform MIG welding, spot welding, soldering, and fabrication as required.
- Remove and install moldings, trim, lighting, auto glass, and related components.
- Prepare repaired surfaces for refinishing through sanding, masking, and priming.
- Work closely with estimators, painters, parts personnel, and insurance partners to ensure efficient repairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure every repair meets manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
What We're Looking ForQualifications
- Previous experience as an Automotive Collision Repair Technician, Body Technician, or Collision Repair Specialist.
- Dealership or I-CAR experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of structural repair techniques and vehicle construction.
- Experience with MIG welding, metal fabrication, and panel replacement.
- Ability to read repair orders and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Knowledge of frame measuring and alignment equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with ADAS-related repairs and calibration considerations is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
