Duties
- Install residential HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment, following schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system troubleshooting and repair on various HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) equipment using hand tools, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and welding techniques
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency
- Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems and repair electrical components or wiring as needed
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to integrate building automation systems and ensure seamless operation of HVAC controls
- Utilize plumbing knowledge for refrigerant line installation and repairs involving ammonia refrigeration or other refrigerants
- Maintain detailed documentation of service work, including system diagnostics, repairs performed, and parts used for each project
- Adhere to safety protocols and EPA regulations during all installation and repair activities
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems installation and repair processes
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields such as appliance repair or property maintenance is highly desirable
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems diagnostics, refrigeration techniques, and building automation systems
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs including boilers and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience using hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices
- Prior field service experience working directly with customers to deliver exceptional service outcomes
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle safely at all times
- Certifications such as EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification for refrigerants are required; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC/R are advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently

Pay: $25.11 - $38.00 per hour
