Overview

HVAC control wiring electrician to work on prevailing wage projects in washington DC

Duties

Installation / wiring for building automation systems.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical wiring, conduit bending.
Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills

Extensive experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures.
Proven ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills for accurate wiring layouts.
Proficiency in working with low-voltage (LV) electrical wiring in diverse environments.
Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; and testing equipment like ohmmeters.
Experience with industrial electrical systems including automation controls like PLCs; familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems.
Construction site experience with renovation projects; ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs while maintaining safety standards.
