Metal Fabricator / TIG Welder
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Fabricate and weld components based on layouts and detailed blueprints.

Utilize hand tools, drills, taps, measuring devices, sanders & dynafiles.

Weld sheet metal fabricated parts in compliance with ANSI/AWS standards.

Perform welding and fabrication of stainless-steel vacuum chambers and structural steel frame weldments.

Perform metal finishing using sanders and other finishing tools to achieve required surface quality.
Qualifications:
-
Proven experience in metal fabrication processes.
-
Strong mechanical aptitude.
-
Advanced ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts & weld symbols.
Required Experience:
-
Proficient in MIG and TIG welding on various alloys including stainless steel, aluminum, and steel.
-
Skilled in working with sheet metal ranging from 18-gauge (0.048") to 1/2" plate.
-
Experience fabricating to ANSI/AWS welding standards.
-
Prior experience welding vacuum chambers or pressure vessels is preferred.
-
Ability to drill and tap materials accurately.
-
Competent in using hand tools such as drills, sanders & dynafiles.
-
Proficient in using precision measuring tools including tape measures, micrometers, protractors, verniers, and combination squares.

Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
Physical Demands:
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
-
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and manual handling of materials.

Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Must be able to set up and operate CMM inspection tool. (Training and support will be supplied)

Physical Requirement: Balancing; climbing; bending; stooping; crawling; some light, moderate lifting and carrying; must have fine motor skills; be able to grasp small items; kneeling; pushing; reaching above shoulder; pulling hand over hand; ability to do a repetitive motion; and the ability to sit, stand and walk for most of the day. Mobility requirement enough to move around the production area safely and various types of customer locations

Visual Requirement: Must be able to visually read documents, read from a computer screen, see system details

Hearing Requirement: Must be able to hear and speak on the phone and in person to convey information. Must be able to identify hazard sounds and be aware of the environment on the production floor/customer sites for safety
