Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial HVAC sheet metal projects. The ideal candidate will have experience reading construction drawings, performing material takeoffs, and working with customers to provide competitive, accurate project estimates.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate material takeoffs for commercial HVAC sheet metal products using architectural and mechanical construction drawings.
- Prepare detailed project estimates to support bid and proposal requests.
- Create shop drawings for spiral pipe, ductwork, and fittings.
- Develop bid proposals, including required documentation such as work plans, project schedules, and bid breakdowns.
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine project requirements.
- Compile project pricing and estimate labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- Ensure proposed services meet contract requirements and customer expectations.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal team members throughout the estimating process.
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and fellow employees.
- Assist with additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 years of estimating experience in the commercial HVAC or sheet metal industry or 2 years of commercial HVAC installation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and construction drawings.
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC sheet metal products, including spiral pipe, ductwork, and fittings.
- Experience preparing material takeoffs, project estimates, and bid proposals.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is a plus.
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Pay: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour
