Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Full-Time HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining, and selling a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients experience optimal comfort and efficiency in their environments. Responsibilities
- Install and motivated to sell new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and specifications
- Perform maintenance and repair on existing HVAC systems, diagnosing issues using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshooting equipment failures effectively
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to execute installations accurately
- Conduct system inspections and perform routine maintenance to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration components of HVAC systems to identify root causes of malfunctions
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, electrical wiring, and control systems
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding system operations, maintenance procedures, and recommended upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and installation
- Service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems or related mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems diagnostics, and building automation controls
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and refrigerant handling procedures including ammonia refrigeration if applicable
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with specialized tools such as ohmmeters is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems including Ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driver certification preferred
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants required; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC/R are advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients
