Role Overview
As the Project Manager, you are the primary face of the company and the master communicator of the job from initial contact to project closeout. You serve as the main point of contact for the internal team, external partners, and most importantly, the client, dedicating yourself to understanding their needs, scope, and demands throughout the entire execution of the project. By bridging the gap between sales and operations, you own the entire client lifecycle—capturing opportunities, closing deals, and managing projects through to completion to build unshakeable trust and deliver exceptional results.
Your Core Duties
1. Client Relations, Sales & Pre-Construction
- Primary Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between the company and the client, holding initial meetings to deeply understand their needs, scope, and budget.
- Unified Client Lifecycle: Own the complete client experience from initial engagement and closing the deal through project management and final closeout.
- Proactive Communication: Maintain constant, proactive communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure their expectations are met and they feel confident in the process.
- Site Visits & Estimating: Visit project sites to gather critical technical information, moving qualified projects into estimating with complete data for accurate bids.
2. Project Management, Procurement & Team Coordination
- Material Procurement & Vendor Management: Actively manage material purchasing budgets, procurement schedules, and vendor contractual documents.
- Schedule Ownership: Own the project schedule through completion, providing weekly updates and recording changes to keep both the client and internal teams informed.
- Workflow Management: Maintain RFI, Submittal, and Selection workflows, ensuring that all material approvals, responses, and distribution strictly align with the procurement schedule.
- Meetings: Lead meetings, ensuring issuance of agendas and minutes, driving open items to closure, and ensuring seamless communication between the client, physical job site, and virtual back-office.
- Site Monitoring: Review Daily Logs, progress photos, and field updates, conducting site monitoring for contractual completeness, potential impacts, and proactive problem-solving.
- Closeout & Permitting: Coordinate permitting, support field inspections, and oversee closeout deliverables.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Technical Concrete Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in concrete finishing and field operations, enabling you to accurately assess site needs, estimate bids, and procure the right materials with authority.
- Master Communicator: You are a proactive, fast responder capable of extracting clear expectations, building client trust, and keeping communication tight between the client, the field, and the virtual office.
- Systems Advocate: You actively champion operational frameworks and respect the backend administrative workflows managed by the virtual team.
- Dedicated Executor: You focus strictly on driving project completion, team efficiency, and measurable outputs without creating undocumented chaos.
Compensation & Contract Structure
- Base Compensation: $1,500 per week.
- Performance Pay: Performance-based compensation tied directly to project profitability.
- Contract Terms: 3-month contract minimum, with the option to extend depending on available work.
