About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Construction Project Manager to oversee installations, service, and project execution across multiple low‑voltage disciplines. This role blends field leadership, project coordination, and technical oversight. You will manage crews, communicate with clients and GCs, maintain schedules, and ensure all work meets code, spec, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Project Management — Plan, manage, and execute low‑voltage construction projects from start to finish.
- Crew Leadership — Lead and mentor technicians; assign daily tasks and oversee job‑site workflow.
- Technical Oversight — Support installation and troubleshooting of security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, fire alarm, and AV systems.
- Blueprint Review — Interpret drawings, riser diagrams, and scope documents to plan labor and materials.
- Client & GC Coordination — Serve as the main point of contact for clients, general contractors, and internal teams.
- Quality Assurance — Perform inspections, verify testing results, and ensure installations meet industry standards.
- Material Management — Order, track, and manage materials, tools, and job‑site readiness.
- Troubleshooting — Diagnose system issues and provide technical guidance to technicians.
- Documentation — Maintain daily logs, change orders, reports, and closeout documentation.
- Special Facility Experience — Work within hospitals, schools, correctional facilities, and military bases, ensuring compliance with strict security, safety, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of low‑voltage construction or systems integration experience
- Strong knowledge of security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, fire alarm, and AV systems
- Experience leading crews or managing job sites
- Ability to operate Fluke meters, OTDRs, certifiers, and other test equipment
- Understanding of cabling standards and industry best practices
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/lifts
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Experience working in hospitals, schools, jails, and military bases (or similar secure environments)
Preferred Qualifications
(Preferred but not required if you have strong working experience)
- Certifications such as PMP, BICSI, NICET, OSHA 10/30, or manufacturer‑specific training
- Experience with enterprise‑level security or network systems
- Familiarity with project management software and construction documentation
- Experience coordinating multi‑phase construction projects
- Knowledge of Simpro or similar project/job management platforms
