Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems. Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, ice machines, walk-in/reach-in coolers/freezers, Rack systems, RTUs, split systems, rack refrigeration, air handlers, exhaust fans, make-up air fans, and controls.
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct equipment repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Must have electrical knowledge as it relates to HVAC/R Equipment and controls.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and read/interpret blueprints.
- Must be able to participate on an on-call rotation for emergency service.
- Well versed with smart devices (e.g. Android phone and tablet) is a plus.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and the ability to work and communicate with peers and customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly about system issues, repair timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, parts used, and system conditions for record-keeping and future reference.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing connections associated with HVAC/R equipment.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with specialized diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles including compressor operation, refrigerant cycles, and leak detection techniques.
An individual must show a willingness to continue developing skills in the trade as part of the continued learning process. Also the individual who holds this position may be required to take part in continued related course work.
Must maintain a safe and acceptable driving record at all times.
Able to assist with office related duties such as collection calls, shipping and receiving, shop maintenance and other related operational duties when necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting (approx 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operating motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools. Drive a van.
Pay: $38.00 - $55.00 per hour
