Responsibilities and Duties
Establish project goals and monitor success in reaching those objectives on an ongoing basis.
Adhere to project contract document changes and CFAIS change order notice-to-proceed policies.
Manage purchase orders and ensure ordered materials are received.
Ensure the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform required work.
Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
Ensure crewmembers start and finish work shift on time; Maintain proper meal/break times as per Employee Handbook and as legally required per local labor laws and regulations.
Maintain complete and accurate "as-built" as per CFAIS procedures and project requirements.
Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, general contractors, management, crewmembers, etc.
Ensure all work performed meets with NEC, federal, state, county, local codes, and contract documents.
Adhere to all CFAIS, state, and federal safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of field experience working as a Low Voltage Electrical Supervisor and ability to manage several crews.
- California Fire Alarm State Certification (Blue Card) is required.
- Manage and ensure proper implementation and compliance with all Coastal Fire and Integration policies and procedures.
- Strong, first-hand knowledge and experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge and installation durations.
- Solid understanding of the electrical codes and installation methods.
- Well-versed in the installation of copper and fiber networks for commercial and industrial applications - voice, data, security, access control, firm alarm, and CCTV.
- Knowledgeable regarding the build, installation, and maintenance of control panels
- Comfortable utilizing blueprints.
- Conduct Safety Meeting and safety inspections.
- Conduct Weekly jobsite meetings.
- Develop and maintain relations with the jobsite supervisor and other subcontractors onsite.
- Complete billing request forms as needed.
- Maintain red-lines and as-built documents.
- Keep a two week look ahead at all times.
- Manage critical situations with employees.

This position requires visual acuity and listening ability. Individuals must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time. Individuals may be required to climb ladders and scaffolding and must be able to lift more than 50 pounds. This position will on occasion require individuals to work in high places and in small, cramped spaces.
Individuals will be required to pass a background and drug test. A valid driver license and acceptable driving record are mandatory.
