HVAC Technician (VRF Experience Required)
Location: Worcester, MA Area (Central Massachusetts & Southern New Hampshire)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team supporting commercial and industrial facilities throughout Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems and a strong background servicing commercial HVAC equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Service and maintain Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.
- Diagnose and repair Air Handling Units (AHUs), supply and exhaust systems, heating and cooling coils, refrigeration equipment, and building utility systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Conduct equipment inspections and verify system performance.
- Utilize technical manuals, repair documentation, and parts catalogs.
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and inspection documentation.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Participate in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and site safety activities.
- Communicate effectively with customers, project teams, and management.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC service, maintenance, installation, or troubleshooting experience.
- Direct hands-on experience with Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire HVAC licenses or applicable certifications.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Preferred
- Trade school education or apprenticeship training.
- Experience working in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, laboratory, healthcare, or critical facility environments.
- Experience with cooling towers, refrigeration systems, and building utility equipment.
- Familiarity with building automation and controls systems.
- Permit-Required Confined Space experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to access mechanical rooms and confined spaces.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
