Pipe Welder / Rig Welder – Job Description

Responsibilities:

Must be able to pass a API 1104 multiple qualification test
Must be able to skillfully weld pipe from 2" to 36"
Must be able to downhill weld
Must be able to cut pipe and fittings with torch
Must be able to read blue prints, P&IDs, ISOs, and should be able to create red line/as built drawings
Must be able to set up, adjust and operate welding equipment
Must clean and maintain tools and equipment used in the work
Candidates with the ability to self-fit pipe are encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain)
Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds)
Frequent bending, twisting and standing
Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required
