Intellitech Mechanical is hiring both Commercial HVAC-R Service Technicians and Commercial Preventive Maintenance Technicians. We service refrigeration, ice machines, HVAC equipment, and hotside restaurant equipment throughout the Tucson area. Candidates capable of performing both service and PM work are highly encouraged to apply.
Commercial HVAC‑R Service Technician
Full‑Time | Monday–Friday | On‑Call Rotation
This is a commercial HVAC‑R role focused on restaurant refrigeration, HVAC systems, ice machines, and hotside kitchen equipment. This is not a commission or sales-based position.
Experience with commercial refrigeration is required. Restaurant equipment experience is a plus. Residential HVAC–only experience is not a fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems (reach‑ins, walk‑ins, low‑temp systems)
- Troubleshoot and repair ice machines
- Repair and service hotside restaurant equipment (fryers, woks, ovens, griddles)
- Handle system start‑ups and replacements
- Run independent service calls and complete digital documentation (diagnosis, work performed, photos/video)
- Share on-call rotation, scheduled in advance
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting ability in commercial refrigeration systems; hotside experience preferred
- 3+ years commercial HVAC‑R service experience
- Technologically competent (mobile apps, tablets, digital work orders)
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment screening
- Clean driving record preferred
Pay
- Up to $28/hr based on experience

Commercial HVAC‑R Preventive Maintenance Technician

This is a commercial HVAC‑R preventive maintenance role focused on restaurant refrigeration, HVAC systems, and ice machines. This is not a commission or sales-based position.
Experience with commercial refrigeration or HVAC trade school completion is required. This position provides a pathway into commercial service work. Residential HVAC–only experience is not a fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance on commercial refrigeration equipment, HVAC systems, and ice machines
- Clean condenser and evaporator coils
- Replace belts, filters, and other routine wear items
- Inspect equipment and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur
- Complete digital documentation (before/after PM photos, recommended repairs)
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
- 1+ years commercial HVAC‑R experience OR HVAC trade school completion
- Technologically competent (mobile apps, tablets, digital work orders)
- Ability to work independently
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment screening
- Clean driving record preferred
Pay
- Up to $24/hr based on experience
