Evo Drywall is a growing residential and commercial drywall company in San Diego with a strong pipeline and real momentum. We’ve built our reputation on quality work and strong relationships, and we’re at the stage where we need a dedicated estimator and project manager to help us scale the right way.
The Opportunity
This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit a polished system and maintain it. You’ll be building the estimating and project management infrastructure alongside ownership. That means you’ll have direct input on the tools, the processes, and how the business operates as it grows.
The current owner has built this company on decades of trade knowledge and relationships. What he needs is someone who brings modern estimating tools and project management discipline to match. If you’re the kind of person who sees a growing company without a CRM and thinks “I can build that,” this is your role.
You’ll estimate jobs, manage them through completion, and earn commission on every deal you close. The more you bring in, the more you make. The growth path here is real.
What You’ll Do
Estimating
Review plans, specs, and site conditions to produce accurate drywall estimates.
Perform material takeoffs and labor calculations for residential and commercial projects.
Price jobs competitively while protecting margins.
Build and maintain an estimating system using modern software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or equivalent). We’re moving away from pen and paper.
Manage bid submissions and follow up with general contractors and direct clients.
Project Management
Own your jobs from award through completion — scheduling, material ordering, crew coordination, and client communication.
Track job costs against estimates and flag variances early.
Conduct site visits to verify progress, quality, and safety.
Manage subcontractor and crew schedules to keep projects on time.
Provide regular project updates to ownership. No surprises.
Who We’re Looking For
You know drywall. You know how to read plans, estimate accurately, and manage a project without someone standing over your shoulder. Beyond the skills, you carry yourself with professionalism and respect — for clients, for crews, and for the people you work alongside. Specifically:
3+ years of experience estimating drywall projects. Residential, commercial, or both.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications.
Experience with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, ConEst, or similar). If you’re still doing everything on paper, this isn’t the right fit.
Project management experience — you’ve managed jobs from start to finish, not just handed off estimates.
Strong communicator. You keep clients, crews, and ownership informed without being chased.
You’re confident in your abilities but easy to work with. We value skill and character equally.
You want to be part of building something, not just filling a position.
