Job Description
P.A.C. Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced, dependable HVAC Service & Maintenance Technician to join our team!
This position primarily focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and commercial HVAC systems, while also assisting with preventative maintenance and inspections as needed.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, has strong troubleshooting skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and provides excellent customer service.
What You'll Do
Service & Repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues.
- Repair or replace defective components, including capacitors, contactors, motors, thermostats, and other HVAC parts.
- Perform refrigerant diagnostics, leak detection, and repairs as qualified.
- Respond to scheduled service calls and equipment breakdowns.
- Communicate repair recommendations and findings clearly to customers and management.
Preventative Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on residential and commercial HVAC equipment.
- Inspect, clean, and test system components to ensure proper operation.
- Replace filters, belts, and other routine maintenance components.
- Identify potential equipment failures and recommend necessary repairs.
- Assist with larger maintenance projects when needed.
Daily Responsibilities
- Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and documentation.
- Record materials used, equipment information, and time worked.
- Take equipment and jobsite photos as required.
- Communicate job status, additional repair needs, and scheduling concerns to dispatch and management.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and assigned equipment.
- Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on HVAC service experience required.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience servicing residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- EPA Section 608 Certification required for refrigerant-related work.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned service calls.
- Knowledge of electrical components, refrigerant systems, and HVAC controls.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders, rooftops, and in varying weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to use mobile applications for scheduling, service documentation, and time tracking.
Experience:
- HVAC Service & Repair: 4 years (Required)

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
