Industrial / Commercial Journeymen Pipe Welders – Charleston, SC$35–$43/hr

Long-Term Project | 40+ Hours to Start | OT Expected

We are hiring experienced Industrial and Commercial Pipe Welders for a major project in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a long-term opportunity expected to last 1+ year, with strong potential for continued work with a large contractor after project completion.

The project is just getting underway and will begin at 40+ hours per week, with significant overtime expected as the job ramps up.

Welding Test Requirements:

✔ 6010 Root (Stick)✔ Flux Core

✔ 6010 Root (Stick)✔ 7018 Fill and Cap (Stick)

Required Experience:

✔ Pipe Welding in Commercial and Industrial Environments✔ Carbon Steel Piping Systems✔ Working Overhead and in Elevated Work Areas✔ Experience Around Large-Diameter Process and Mechanical Piping

Qualifications:

OSHA 10 certification currently in hand
Scissor Lift and/or Boom Lift certification currently in hand
Must pass a pipe welding test
Must have own welding tools and PPE
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen at a local urgent care facility
Reliable transportation
Able to work safely and efficiently in an active industrial/commercial jobsite

Compensation:

$35–$43 per hour based on experience and test results
40+ hours to start
Overtime expected as project staffing increases
Long-term project with advancement opportunities
