Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with low-voltage systems, a strong understanding of NFPA codes, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in the field.
This position is open to applicants residing in Guam and Saipan. Relocation assistance is not available.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments
Manage tasks efficiently to meet project schedules and deadlines
- Conduct system testing and verification to ensure compliance with required codes and certifications
- Maintain and repair fire alarm systems, including troubleshooting and replacement of system components
- Interpret and implement fire protection system designs in accordance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA)
- Assist Engineers and Project Managers in executing detailed installation and upgrade plans
- Perform site surveys to assess installation requirements and identify fire hazards
- Install infrastructure components, including conduit, wiring, and mounting hardware for system devices
- Maintain clean, organized, and inventory-ready service vehicles to support efficient field operations
- Complete project documentation, including service tickets, inspection reports, time logs, and as-built drawings
- Deliver professional and courteous customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding fire protection systemsUtilize specialized tools and equipment, including multimeters, hand tools, and power tools
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification (NICET, Honeywell, Hochiki) preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm systems
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including components, circuits, NFPA codes, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performing system repairs
- Experience with low-voltage infrastructure, including conduit, wiring, and terminations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to obtain necessary security clearances as required by government contracts
- Valid passport and driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders, and in confined spaces
- Willingness to travel and work at various customer sites
