We are an established General Contractor with an excellent reputation in Governmental Contracts, as well as the Commercial Market, with a Sr. Project Management opening. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Project Manager to manage a host of projects both small and large. The Company is Committed to Excellence and is looking for personnel that will contribute to the Company’s growth.
The essential role of this position is to:
Effectively manage and execute assigned projects to include effective communication with superintendents, clients and sub-contractors to ensure projects meet designated time lines and budgets.
The position includes but is not limited to the following duties:
1. Handle confidential information
2. Use independent and discretionary judgment
3. Chair weekly or bi-weekly progress meetings with Clients
4. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored properly.
5. Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders within 10 days of contract award/execution.
6. Ensure that no sub/vendor payments are made without a fully executed subcontract in place.
7. Prepare and maintain the project schedule.
8. Continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
9. Visit each job weekly, at a minimum.
10. Maintain or exceeds projected project profit.
11. Participate in post-construction meetings on each job to provide feedback to the team and the estimating staff.
12. Effectively manage multiple projects.
13. Ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
14. Ensure that no additional work is performed without the written authorization of the Owner’s representative.
Position Objectives & Success Measurements
1. Identifying, tracking, managing and resolving project issues.
2. Efficiently managing the work flow to successfully achieve assigned goals.
3. Possessing proactive verbal and written communication skills, including good, active listening skills.
Skills required:
1. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions regarding the project.
2. Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
3. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
4. Desired but not required: PMP, CCM, and/or CPC certification.
5. Desired but not required: Certifications in OSHA 30 hour, CQC Training (ACOE), First Aid and CPR.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Solid multi-tasking and relationship-building skills.
8. Knowledge of Project Management systems such as Timberline, Prolog, CPM Scheduling, Computer skills, Writing Skills.
Basic requirements:
1. Preferred but not required: Degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited University.
2. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
3.. 7+ years of experience in Governmental and/or Commercial Contracting, with a local General Contractor

5. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored properly.
6. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
7. Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
8. Identify, track, manage and resolve project issues.
9. Chair progress meetings with Clients.
10. Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders.
11. Continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
12. Mentor young construction professionals.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Skills required:
1. Proven experience as construction project manager. Well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures, and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
2. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, and material and project management principles.
3. Familiarity with quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
4. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
5. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
6. A team player with leadership abilities.
7. Familiarity with Project Management systems such as Timberline, Procore, CPM Scheduling.
