Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles such as box trucks to deliver appliances to customer locations efficiently and on schedule.
- Unload appliances from delivery trucks using power tools and hand tools, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Install appliances by connecting electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components according to schematics and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues during installation or post-delivery, diagnosing problems with refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, or mechanical parts.
- Use ladder work and other access equipment safely to reach installation sites at various heights or hard-to-access areas.
- Conduct thorough testing of installed appliances to verify proper operation, including refrigeration units and electrical systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining appliance features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the delivery process.
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on appliances in the field using specialized tools and equipment repair techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, installations, repairs, and service calls for reporting purposes.
- Operate equipment such as multimeters or schematics to assist in diagnostics and repairs efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience with appliance repair, installation, or field service roles; service technician experience highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to appliance systems like refrigeration and electrical wiring.
- Ability to read schematics and use ladder diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plumbing components, electrical work, and equipment repair techniques.
- Experience working with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating a box truck or similar company vehicle safely; clean driving record required.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical work standards, plumbing connections, and appliance installation best practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude; able to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic tools; experience with field service operations is a plus.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders or access equipment; physically capable of lifting heavy appliances safely.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
