Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional climate control solutions across commercial and residential settings. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems in accordance with schematics and design plans.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical system diagnostics to identify faults.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system components including compressors, fans, thermostats, electrical wiring, and plumbing connections.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately execute system installations and repairs.
- Conduct comprehensive equipment troubleshooting to resolve mechanical or electrical problems swiftly while minimizing downtime.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs or maintenance procedures while ensuring high levels of customer service.
Skills
- Proven construction experience with knowledge of mechanical systems installation and repair.
- Service technician experience with HVAC systems, refrigeration units, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Electrical diagnostics skills using tools such as ohmmeters; ability to interpret electrical diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical systems repair tools efficiently.
- Experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair in commercial or residential environments.
- Knowledge of boiler operation, air conditioning systems, refrigeration processes, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle safely.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants; knowledge of refrigerant recovery procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) for controlling HVAC operations remotely or automatically.
