Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Electrician to oversee electrical projects across diverse settings, including industrial and commercial environments. Duties
- Lead the installation, inspection, and maintenance of industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters, ensuring swift resolution of system faults.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and repair activities accurately.
- Supervise and coordinate electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and quality standards.
- Manage high-voltage electrical wiring projects, including the installation of low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Mentor junior electricians by sharing technical knowledge on electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, wiring techniques, and troubleshooting strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance, NEC standards, and local electrical codes.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, power tools, and testing equipment like ohmmeters.
- Experience working with high-voltage wiring systems and industrial electrical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures related to high-voltage installations and renovations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with hands-on handyman experience for versatile project support.
