About the Role
The Pipefitting Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all field operations related to pipefitting and mechanical piping systems across assigned projects. This includes supervising field personnel, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining project schedules, and driving productivity while ensuring safety and compliance across all job sites.
This role is responsible for coordinating with Project Managers, Foremen, and other trades to ensure successful project execution, while also mentoring and developing field personnel and maintaining strong client relationships.
This is an In-Office/Field-based position. We do not offer a “Remote or Hybrid” schedule.

Responsibilities
- Supervises and directs pipefitting Foremen and field personnel across multiple projects
- Coordinates daily field operations to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are met
- Develops and maintains project pre-plans, schedules, and manpower forecasts
- Reviews project drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and execution
- Partners with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Monitors job costs, labor productivity, and material usage to ensure profitability
- Coordinates with purchasing to maintain material levels and ensure timely procurement
- Ensures all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards
- Acts as a Safety Leader on all job sites, enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols
- Conducts job site inspections to ensure quality control and workmanship standards
- Leads project turnover, punch list completion, and closeout processes
- Participates in internal meetings to communicate project status, risks, and progress
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Identifies and resolves field issues, including unforeseen site conditions and coordination conflicts
- Drives continuous improvement in field operations, processes, and communication
- Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed and enforced
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade certification or Journeyman-level experience preferred
- EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 5+ years of commercial pipefitting/mechanical construction experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Strong knowledge of piping systems, construction practices, blueprints, and applicable codes and regulations
