Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Maintenance Technician to support multiple sites within the Akron area. This energetic professional will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of facilities by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections across various building systems. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to ensure proper functioning.
- Install new appliances and kitchen equipment following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct repairs on various appliances such as refrigeration units, dishwashers, ovens, and other commercial kitchen equipment.
- Operate company vehicles safely for maintenance tasks at different locations or job sites.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical systems repair and appliance installation.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience with refrigeration systems maintenance and repair within commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment maintenance including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and related appliances.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), construction experience is a plus.
- Ability to operate equipment repair tools safely and efficiently; experience with company vehicle operation is preferred.
