We seek a seasoned Service Tech to join us as a Plumber/Gasfitter.

Responsible to install all underground tanks and lines and backfill/grade underground tank and pipe installs, among other duties.

Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

Installing, servicing, repairing and removal of LP propane gas appliances, tanks and equipment.
Performing tank pick-ups, safety checks, gas odor calls, tank recertifications, tank & meter lockouts, and re-installs.
Operating a truck mounted crane and/or dolly to maneuver tanks.
Finding and repairing leaks at customer sites.
Performing seasonal service including equipment diagnostics, operational checks, cleaning and maintenance.
Replacement of filters, cleaning and replacement of parts needed for safe, efficient operations.
Responding to calls relating to insufficient or lack of heat on daily and emergent basis.
Performing duties in compliance with federal, state and local guidelines and codes.
Ensuring service vehicle is kept clean and free of debris and used in a safe and responsible manner.
Attending any and all CETP Modules for the outlined work.

Desired skills and experience:

Recommended, but not required CDL License Class A or B with HazMat and Tanker endorsements and valid medical Card/Certificate
Compliance with all DOT licensing requirements, including a safe driving record, is required.
Must have working knowledge of International Code, NFPA 54, NFPA 58, any/all Local and State Codes.
Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather & driving conditions
Mechanically inclined skills sought:Experience with hand tools, power tools and test equipment
Basic troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostic skills
Plumbing experience as a Journeyperson working under a Masters Licensed Plumber
Install all UG tanks and lines and backfill/grade UG tank and pipe installs.
Troubleshoot vaporizers, and diagnose and repair all aspects of a propane plant pumps, compressors, nitrogen system, and components.
Must safely operate company Boom truck and crane trucks.
Must know how to perform a tank pump-out with a Bobtail, compressor, or a pump.
Able to respond to liquid leaks and troubleshoot pump stations and make repairs.
Be able to install all size propane tanks from 1000 above ground/underground and smaller.
Be able to properly size and install any required propane lines
Strong interpersonal skills and detailed work ethic and effectively gets the job done.
Must be available to work “on call” (including weekends), based on a rotational schedule. One week every two months

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
